After Chinami admonishes Banri for being too friendly with Linda, since she is the girl Mitsuo likes, Banri catches up with Kōko to share everything that has happened. Kōko and Banri discuss Chinami, and they both realize they agree that their former crushes like others. Banri then thinks about giving Kōko his mother's ring, as the moment seems perfect, but he realizes he didn't bring it. Back in his apartment, Banri contemplates when he could give the ring to Kōko and wonders who he could talk to about it. The next morning, on the way to school, Banri meets Nana and tries to talk to her during the train ride. He realizes she is not in the mood to discuss anything and then falls asleep on Banri. At school, 2D, Kōko, and Banri discuss Mitsuo's strategy to continue filming the festival club. When Mitsuo and Chinami arrive, Chinami convinces Kōko to go with her to buy Belgian chocolate. Mitsuo, 2D, and Banri talk about Mitsuo's failure to get closer to Linda. Mitsuo notices that Koshino seems to be protecting Linda from him, but they realize class is about to start and hurry to leave. After class, Banri meets Kōko. They go to Woodstock Cafe, where they discuss their immediate future, both happy about the enjoyment of their recent days. The next day at school, while Banri thinks about how to give Kōko his mother's ring, he is approached by the girls from the Tea Club who discover his plan and make him extremely nervous before trying to recruit him again. Kōko arrives to go to the Festival Club rehearsals. Banri and Kōko notice how Koshino from the fourth year seems to be protecting Linda from Mitsuo. Later, at the train station, Banri and Kōko discuss everything. During the performance, Mitsuo refocuses on filming the Festival Club, while Linda observes that Kōko is not nervous as she tries to help the fourth-year students. During the performance, Banri suffers a mental crisis as his past self regains control, and he panics and runs away. Linda and Kōko go after him. Linda later finds Banri as he tries to figure out what happened to him. When Linda mentions Kōko, his new self returns, but now Banri fears that the old Banri will take control again.
